The Aviator

Neil January 29th, 2005

Carol and I went to see “The Aviator” this afternoon. A well done film with a tragic story line. It not only shows the profound influence that a mother can have on her child but it shows how money influences everything from relationships to politics.

A Heron visits us every now and then

Neil January 18th, 2005

This Heron stops by the creek in our back yard every few weeks. Today he visited us again. They have very interesting mannerisms, especially when they are hunting. We watched him catch a fish. He held it in his beak for a while letting it flip away it’s last moments before going down the hatch. The photo’s a little blurry because of the low light.

What with the generally moderate weather here in the Puget Sound this beautiful show scene only lasted about 4 hours before it began to melt.  That’s ok though. We get to see the beauty of the snowscapes but it doesn’t disrupt our lives too long.
