Can you believe it? Amira is 3 years old. Growing up before our very eyes. This photo was taken while we were at Camp Casey last weekend.
Puget sound

Within walking distance of our Camp Casey weekend house is the Puget Sound. Here’s a picture of a couple of cruise ships leaving the sound for open sea.
Fort Casey, in union with Fort Worden and Fort Flagler, was said to comprise a “triangle of fire” guarding the entrance to Puget Sound.
Janece, Carol and Amira walk and explore along the beach about a half over before the first picture was taken.
Camp Casey

Janece, Amira, Carol and I stayed last weekend in this old officers quarters building at Camp Casey, the residential and office portions of Fort Casey on Widbey Island. A beautiful place to spend a weekend.

Try to strengthen your mind by reading something that requires effort, thought and concentration.
Try to do somebody a good turn and not get found out.
Try to do a task that needs to be done, but which you have been putting off.
Try to go for one full day without finding fault with anything.
Try to have a quiet half-hour by yourself. Think of God, read the Bible; you’ll get a little more perspective in your life.
And, finally, don’t be afraid to be happy; enjoy what is beautiful; believe that those you love, love you.
Ships center atrium

The center atrium of the ship was pretty impressive when it comes to presenting a luxurious look and feel. The atrium took in the center portion of 4 floors. There were shops, lounge areas and restaurants in this portion of the ship.
