While varied and beautiful, the leaves don’t seem to have the more brilliant colors that we’ve seen in past years, so far that is.

Wouldn’t You Know

Lorene and Chuck left the Seattle area Sunday for their return trip home.  The entire time they were in the Seattle area it rained.

This morning we woke up to a bright sunny day and it’s been that way most of the day.

They did say that they will be back again maybe next summer some time to experience warmer and sunnier weather.

Chuck&Lorene

Lorene Jones-McAninch and her husband Chuck visited us yesterday.  First time I’ve seen Lorene in 50+ years.  She is my cousin on my mother’s side of the family.  We shared a meal together and had a great time of conversation with them.  Their home is in Visalia, California.

There are natural salt mineral in the rocks in this area that attract Mountain Goats and other wildlife.

Carol and I had a beautiful trip from Seattle to Cut Bank, Montana last weekend.  The flight over was beautiful.  The drive from the airport in Kalispell to Cut Bank was beautiful with all the fall colors.  The first full day in Cut Bank was rainy all day,  a most unusual event there.

Carol, her sisters Jane and Linda were visiting their dad who lives in Cut Bank.  Myself and Linda’s husband Bill were there as well.  Jane’s husband Pete was slaving away at work that weekend.  Everyone had a good time catching up with one another.
